OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2009. Mr. Konstantin Alkanovich, advisor to CEO of OJSC ROSNO-MS, and Mr. Igor Dus, senior specialist of the of the Project Team for introduction of the medical aid quality control system in OJSC ROSNO-MS, took part in the annual applied research conference "Controlling Medical Aid Quality in St. Petersburg", reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The purpose of the conference was to share expertise, to sum up the results of formation of the medical aid quality control system in the North-Western region of the Russian Federation, and to determine its development prospects.

Among the conference participants were: deputy of the RF President’s Plenipotentiary in the North-Western Federal Okrug Mr. E.V. Lukyanov, deputy head of the Federal Department for Supervision of Healthcare and Social Development  I. F. Seregina, representatives of the Government and Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, city and district healthcare committees, executive directors of the TFOMS of the city and regions of the North-Western Federal Okrug, heads of the Mechnikov St. Petersburg Medical Academy, leading medical treatment and preventive care institutions and insurance companies, including OJSC ROSNO-MS.

In their report, the representatives of OJSC ROSNO-MS acquainted the audience with the results of the company’s efforts in creating the medical aid quality (MAQ) control system. In his speech, Mr. V.M. Kolabutin, executive director of the Territorial OMI Fund of St. Petersburg, noted that the city of St. Petersburg accumulated a unique expertise in creating a unified MAQ control system greatly appreciated by the management of the Territorial OMI Funds in the regions of the North-Western Federal Okrug, evidenced by the results of application of St. Petersburg’s expertise in other areas of the North-Western Federal Okrug.

The case of ROSNO-MS, which made decision to spread the expertise gained by the St. Petersburg branch to the company’s other regional branches, was named as an example of efficient project implementation. The speeches of the conference participants referred to the positive role of the St. Petersburg branch of OJSC ROSNO-MS in organization of city and field training seminars for medical professionals, sharing expertise in creating and developing the medical aid quality control system in the regions of the North-Western Federal Okrug. The resolution adopted by the conference has acknowledged progress in building the efficient medical aid quality control system in St. Petersburg and outlined measures required for its successful completion.
