OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2009. The number of payments for utility services, made by the population thru the Megabank’s Integral Clearing Center (ICC) is on the rise, reported the press-centre of Megabank.

The ICC data bear witness to this. Thus, inhabitants of the Kharkov oblast for 4 months of this year have increased the number of payments thru ICC by 11% versus same period 2008. In other 8 regions of Ukraine, where Megabank’s ICC is operational, this index has grown by 9%. Besides, during this period the number of payments made by the population via internet and Megabanks’ ATMs network has increased by 36%.

As the Megabank’s Deputy of the board, head of ICC Yury Sergeev put it, the increase of the number of payments for utility services testifies about the growth of responsibility of the population. He also mentioned that since utility services go up, the Kharkovites and inhabitants of other regions of Ukraine try not to make big debts, since they will be hard to sink. As per Y.Sergeev, the increase of share of cashless payments for utility services is a natural tendency, since today internet technologies and bank terminals are part of the life of Ukrainians.

Reference. The ICC technology has been developed more than 10 years back and today is implemented by Megabank in 9 regions of Ukraine. Thru the system of Megabank’s ICC more than 1 million 793 thousand Ukrainian households pay for utility services (12% of all payers of Ukraine).
