OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 June 2009 Baltika Breweries announced changes in its management structure taking effect on 17 June 2009. Denis Lysak has been appointed Vice President, Sales in Russia.

This appointment came after a serious competition between internal and external candidates conducted with the help of independent specialists in staff recruitment.

Denis Lysak was born on 18 August 1971 in the city of Volgograd. In 1993 he graduated from the Volgograd State Technical University. In 1997 he received a second university degree from the Economics Department of the Volgograd Higher School of Business. From 1999 through 2008, he attended a number of training courses held in Russia and in Western Europe to develop his management and business skills.

Denis Lysak began his working career in 1996 in the company MARS, where over the course of five years he held various positions within the sales department. Starting in 2001, Denis Lysak continued his career in SAB Miller Russia, taking up the position of Regional Sales Manager for the city of Moscow. He later worked as Sales Director of the division responsible for the Moscow, Central and Northwest regions, then as National Sales Manager, and most recently he held the position of Director of Sales and Distribution at SAB Miller Russia.

Denis Lysak is married and has two sons.

Oleg Burkhanov, who was Acting Vice President, Sales in Russia, will continue to work at Baltika Breweries as Director of Sales Development, reporting to the Vice President, Sales in Russia.
