OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 June 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ ZAO Minsk sparkling wines plant has invested 3 million euros in a cider production project under the Apple Jack brand at its Brest-based branch, a source in the administration of the company told.

“Investment in new production areas and cider-making equipment reached 3 million euros. The plant acquired an automatic bottle forming line, bottling and labeling lines produced by KHS Corpoplast GmbH and SIPA Berchi Group S.p.A. Also, an original 0.5-liter bottle was designed,” the source said.

The new product will be offered for sale in May. The Brest branch of Minsk sparkling wines plant is Belarus’ only producer of cider.

Minsk sparkling wines plant was established in 2000; it makes 80 varieties of beverages; annual output is estimated at 12 million bottles.
