OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2009. In January-May 2009, Murmansk Sea Fishing Port OJSC handled 122,800 tonnes of cargo (+64.5%, year-on-year), the port’s press center informs. In May 2009, the port’s throughput climbed by 27.3%, year-on-year, to 21,000 tonnes.

“In June we expect 15,000 tonnes of fish. Summer is traditionally not active period when it comes to fish unloading,” the port’s deputy Director General Anton Artemjev comments.


Murmansk Sea Fishing Port was formed in the middle of 70-ies. Today the company operates its own port fleet the vessels of which are able to carry out piloting and off-harbor services in the Kola Bay, transport passengers, supply vessels with fuel and water, collect floating garbage and oil waters. In the 4-month period of 2009, Murmansk Sea Fishing Port handled 102,000 tonnes of cargo.
