OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2009. Deputy Minister of Coal Industry Anatolii Korzun announced during a press conference today that the Ministry of Coal Industry was ready to cooperate with owners of private mines, “but to deal with distribution of production of private enterprises is not our function. Our task is to ensure distribution of production of state enterprises and guarantee payment of salary and all due payments and taxes”.

Anatolii Korzun also informed that last year over UAH 922 million had been transferred to the enterprises of coal industry. According to him, wages on the state-owned enterprises of coal industry have been paid 100 percent and there are no debts: “all leaders of state-owned enterprises have reported to the ministry that there are no arrears of wages on their enterprises”. “It has proved possible owing to the support of the Government and fruitful cooperation with consumers”.

Moreover, Anatolii Korzun informed the country, first of all, has to support state coal enterprises. According to him, employees of private mines have to forward their demands concerning distribution of production to the owners of private enterprises who have to seek markets for their production but not to shift their problems “on the shoulders of the state”.

The Deputy Minister of Coal Industry added “we are ready to welcome people to the state coal-extracting enterprises if they lack workplaces, we are ready to provide them with work and also ready to invite private mines under the state administration”.
