OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 June 2009 was announced, that the main aim of this project is to provide availability of the area and premises of OKKO filling complexes for people with limited mobility (physically challenged on wheelchairs). Since 2008 all OKKO filling complexes have been designed and constructed in accordance with accessibility requirements (unimpeded access for disabled people to residential and social facilities).

At the present time, the Company adjusts and adapts OKKO filling complexes in operation subject to accessibility requirements. The first complex in the network, where the terms of accessibility were fulfilled, is located at 12 Vashynhtona str., L'viv.

"In order that physically challenged people could easily use services of the filling complex, – informs the director of OJSC Concern Galnaftogaz Oleksandr Hehedysh, – the kerbs were lowered at crossings of sidewalks and driveways, the sill at the entrance to the building (to the salesroom and WC) was lowered, an accessible apartment of mini-market and an accessible rest room for disabled people were provided".

At the filling complex was also allocated a special parking place for cars, driven by the disabled persons or the persons escorting them. Given parking place is marked on the driveway with a special international symbol (a man in a wheelchair), and also by a special road sign. The stickers on the doors of WC and at the entrance into the salesroom, inform about adherance to the accessibility requirements at the complex.

The network of OKKO filling complexes plans to further extend the project of implementation of accessibility requirements at its complexes in order to provide equal conditions for all citizens for productive life in the society.
