OREANDA-NEWS.  On 04 June was announced, that the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that "Omsk Cheese Spread Plant" Ltd. was engaged in unfair competition. The company's actions on acquiring and using exclusive rights for "OMICHKA" trademark under No.251966 Certificate violated Part 2 Article 14 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

"Omsk Cheese Spread Plant" Ltd. violated the law by acquiring exclusive rights for "OMICHKA" verbal trademark under No.251966 Certificate and later requested "VAMIN Tatarstan" OJSC to stop producing spread cheese using "OMICHKA" verbal mark.

"Omsk Cheese Spread Plant" Ltd. proposed to sign a licence agreement for the right to use trademark under No.251966 Certificate with 1 310 160 Rubles annual licence fee for using the trademark. "Omsk Cheese Spread Plant" Ltd. undertook such actions in spite of the fact that "VAMIN Tatarstan" OJSC had been producing "OMICHKA" spread cheese long before "Omsk Cheese Spread Plant" Ltd. bought the trademark.
