OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2009. Southern Telecommunications Company (“UTK”) (RTS: KUBN, KUBNP;МICEX: UTEL, UTELP; ADR OTC: STJSY, KUE FRA), the principal fixed-line telecommunications provider for Russia’s Southern Federal District, reports that its Board of Directors took a decision to release Alexander Vladimirovich Andreev of his position of UTK’s Director General before the appointed time (Minutes №28 of June 8, 2009).
 
Pursuant to the decision of the Company’s Board of Directors, Alexander Petrovich Shipulin has been appointed Director General of PJSC Southern Telecommunications Company from June 9, 2009. The Employment Agreement with Alexander Shipulin has been concluded for a term of two years.

Alexander Shipulin was born on July 9, 1953 in the town of Yeisk, Krasnodar Territory. In 1978 he graduated from the correspondence division of the All-Soviet Electrical Engineering and Communication Institute with a major in Multiplexed Communication.

In 1991-2003 he was Deputy Head of the state-run telecom enterprise of the Krasnodar Territory "Rossvyazinform" (OJSC Kubanelectrosvyaz), Deputy Director General of PJSC Southern Telecommunications Company. In 2003-2007 he was First Deputy Director General of CJSC Mobicom-Kavkaz (Krasnodar). In 2007 - June 2009 he was General Director of LLC Telika (Krasnodar).Alexander Shipulin is an experienced executive and a truly professional. He has intimate knowledge of the Company’s business processes.
