OREANDA-NEWS. On June 15, 2009 Kazakhtelecom (Astana), the listed company of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) informed KASE that from the beginning of June 2009 two Kazakhstan telecommunications operators got connected to the national Internet traffic exchange center, reported the press-centre of KASE.

According to the new peer center participants, such interaction will allow unloading external Internet channels and decreasing data transmission errors in Kazakhstan.

The first in the Republic of Kazakhstan National Traffic Exchange functions in Almaty from October 2007. Nowadays within the center interact six telecommunications  operators - Kazakhtelecom, Nursat, Intelsoft, Astel, STS and Basis-Telecom. Internet traffic exchange speed is 15 megabit/s.
