OREANDA-NEWS. Passenger services between Russia and Finland will be affected due to strikes by rail trade unions in Finland from 03:00 Finnish time on 15 June 2009 until 03:00 Finnish time on 16 June 2009, reported the press-centre of RZD.

The branded train "Tolstoy" departing from Moscow at 22:50 on Sunday, 14.06.2009, will stop at Vainikkala Station.

The branded train "Repin" departing from St. Petersburg at 07:17 on Monday 15.06.2009 will stop at Vyborg. Passengers will be taken to their destination stations by other means of land transport.

Passengers from the "Tolstoy" train departing for Moscow from Helsinki at 17:52 on 15.06.2009 will be taken by other means of land transport to Vainikkala station, from where the "Tolstoy" will depart for Vyborg and then Moscow.

In addition, the following trains will be cancelled during this period:

• "Sibelius" on Monday, 15.06.2009 (departure from Helsinki at 07:00 and departure from St. Petersburg at 16:30)

• "Repin" departure from Helsinki on Monday 16.06.2009
