OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 June 2009 was announced, that Moscow hosted the 11th All-Russia Festival of Museums ‘Intermuseum-2009’ and the 8th Exhibition of Museum Equipment and Technologies ‘ExpoMuseum’. IJSC Ingosstrakh has become the participant of this event for the 11th time.

This year the subject of the festival whose traditional slogan is ‘The Museum as the Unity of the Different’ was formulated as ‘Museums of Russia as the Site for Cultural Innovation’. The festival was attended by Russian museums, art galleries, museums of archives, libraries, public and charity organizations, museums of national arts. The participants included factories and schools, companies manufacturing exhibition equipment and providing services in transportation and storage of valuable objects of arts, designers, artists and other museum and related specialists.

The exhibitors were represented by the State Hermitage Museum, the State Russian Museum, the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the State Tretyakov Gallery, The State Tsiolkovsky Museum of Astronautics, the State Timiryazev Museum of Biology, the State Darwin Museum, and others. The total list of participants was 180, representing various regions of Russia, including Urals, Siberia, Russian Far East, Kamchatka, Kaliningrad Region, Yamalo-Nenets District, Chukotkaa, Povolzhie etc.

The new participants were represented by Lytkarino Historical and Local History Museum, Iset Local History Museum n/a Emelyanov, Gogol’s House Memorial Museum, ‘Mishka’ Museum of Chocolate, ‘Bulgakov’s House’ Cultural and Education Center, the City History Museum of Krasnokamsk, Uinsk Local History Museum n/a Igoshev and Kronstadt Museum of History, Architecture and Arts.

Back in 1998 Ingosstrakh proposed two nominations as part of the festival program, namely ‘Professional Honor and Dignity’ and ‘Professional Loyalty and Performance’. Each year, the insurer distributes 5 awards. During the previous ten years of the festival, Ingosstrakh awarded 100 museum workers. The award ceremony for this year’s winners was held on the last day of the festival, May 31st, on the premises of the New Opera. Ingosstrakh’s awards were distributed by Deputy General Director of Ingosstrakh Mr. Nikolay Galushin.

The winners of the Professional Honor and Dignity award became Head of the History of Russian political police in XIX-XX cc of the Russian Political History Museum Ms. Ludmila V. Mikhailova, Chief Attendant of the Museum of Jewelry and Lapidary Arts Ms. Natalia V. Mukhina, Head of the History and Archive Section of the Moscow Zoo Ms. Ludmila V. Egorova, Chief Attendant of Spasskoe-Lutovinovo State Turgenev Memorial and Natural Reserve Ms. Rimma P. Borzenkova, and Director of the State Polytechnic Museum Mr. Gurgen G. Grigorian.

The winners of the Professional Loyalty and Performance award were Director of the Military and Medical Museum Mr. Anatoly A. Budko, Director of the Kirillo-Beloozersky Histirical, Architectural and Arts Museum and Reserve Ms. Galina O. Ivanova, Director of Museon Children’s Center of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts Ms. Natalia N. Fomina, Director of the Moscow State Historical, Architectural, Natural and Landscape Museum and Reserve Ms. Ludmila P. Kolesnikova, Director of ‘Mikhailovskoe’ State Memorial Historical, Literature, Natural and Landscape Pushkin Museum and Reserve Mr. Georgy N. Vasilivitch.                                      

Ingosstrakh has operated as the insurer of exhibition activities for more than 30 years. With many participants of the Intermuseum festival Ingosstrakh has managed to build up long-term partner relations.
