OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2009. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Rudi Lamprecht, CEO of EWC East West Connect GmbH & Co.KG.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting and taking an opportunity the guest congratulated the President and people of Turkmenistan on the brilliant premiere of Avaza national tourism zone where the first comfortable hotels had been put into operation and the second stage of development of the world-class seaside resort had been presented. Mr. Rudi Lamprecht said that the festivities on the Caspian Sea shore had produced immense impressions of the participants of this remarkable event which had illustrated keen interest of the global and European business community in cooperation with Turkmenistan. The businessmen said that this interest was conditioned to a larger extent by the large-scale reforms initiated by the Turkmen leader to promote further social and economic progress of the country. In this regard Avaza was a vivid illustration of an innovative, creative approach to implementing Turkmenistan’s versatile potential through developing recreation and tourism industries as well.

Greeting the guest Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that enhancement of mutually advantageous cooperation with foreign partners – a key trend in Turkmenistan’s national policy and the projects of the free economic zone provided the vast opportunities to intensify the business dialogue. The President invited the European and in particular German companies, whose expertise and achievements in developing technologies and know-how were of great demand in Turkmenistan, to collaborate in this project.

In the context the sides exchanged views on further development and prospects for cooperation in compliance with the priorities of Turkmenistan’s national development. The CEO of the EWC Company reported on the fulfillment of the instructions and reaffirmed that the company specialized in a wide spectrum of the fields stood ready to cooperate with Turkmen partners on a long-term basis. In particular, the guest reported on the progress in drafting the project on construction of a new air terminal in Ashgabat in collaboration with German Hochtief and Turkmenhowayollary State National Service.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that technology modernization of transport and communication infrastructure was an essential factor of dynamic development emphasizing that Turkmenistan relied on attraction of scientific and technical advances in this field like many others.

Expressing gratitude for the confidence granted to the company Mr. Rudi Lamprecht assured the Turkmen leader that the proposals and suggestions would be taken into consideration and EWC would spare no effort to implement the agreements reached.
