OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 June 2009 was announced, that METRO Cash & Carry Ukraine involves its professional customers into the price setting process for an award of 100 UAH.

Now every registered METRO Cash & Carry customer can help the company to offer the lowest prices for an award. The project covers around 300 most popular food and-nonfood products from METRO stores’ assortment. The customers can find the list of products in the special brochure distributed in the stores and by mail.

To receive the 100 UAH voucher that can be spent in the store within a month the customer has to bring the fiscal check for any of the products covered by the project from any other store that reflects the price is lower than that at METRO.

Issuing the voucher simultaneously METRO Cash & Carry immediately decreases its price and in this way guaranteeing it offers constantly low prices.

The project is running in all 25 METRO stores in 18 Ukrainian cities. After the successful pilot launched in March 2009 the project expanded to all cities of METRO opeations. During the first two months of the project METRO customers received 234 UAH 100 vouchers in total only in Kyiv.

Starting from June 3 METRO Cash & Carry offers another money-saving campaign. A customer can receive a 20% discount on new white goods, TV sets, computers and computer monitors if he brings an old item of one of the stated categories. The campaign is running in all 25 METRO wholesale stores till June 16.

Within 6 years of operations in Ukraine METRO Cash & Carry opened 25 wholesale stores: four in Kyiv, two in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kharkiv, one in Lviv, Luhansk, Kryvyi Rih, Poltava, Vinnytsa, Zaporizhya, Chernivtsi, Mykolaiv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Makiyivka, Simferopol and Mariupol. Having invested into the Ukrainian economy EUR 460 Mio. METRO Cash & Carry created 7 000 new jobs for Ukrainians.
