OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 June 2009 Interpipe, a leading global producer of steel pipes and railway wheels, announced the appointment of Denis Solomin as Director for Oil & Gas sales at the company. Denis will supervise and manage the company’s sales of pipe used in the important oil and gas industry.

Denis Solomin said: “It’s clear that Interpipe has a rich industrial heritage, excellent potential as well as a high-technological base and an ambitious and professional team. All these factors mean that we can face the future with a good degree of optimism and develop the company’s pipe sales positively in the oil and gas segment.”

Before joining Interpipe, Denis Solomin previously held executive positions at the LUKOIL oil and gas company and worked in its foreign offices in Romania and Bulgaria as well as at Nafta Belgium. Denis began his professional career at the US-based company Occidental Petroleum.

Denis Solomin graduated from the Gubkina oil and gas academy (Russia) at the faculty of “Development of oil and gas fields” and also studied at the South Alberta Institute of Technology (Canada), with a specialisation in “Business – law and management”.
