OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 June 2009 was announced, that the President will meet with the head of the IMF mission. Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko will meet with the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission in Ukraine on Tuesday, June 23. The main purpose of the meeting will be discussion about the third tranche of the IMF loan. If negotiations will success Ukraine will receive the next tranche in the coming weeks. However, the IMF is worried about the hidden Ukrainian macroeconomic statistical data. This may become a problem during the negotiations.

French consumer spending has decreased. Consumer spending in France decreased by 0.2% in May 2009 compared to the previous month. The decline compared to May 2008 amounts to 1.6%. French Government has allocated about ?4 bn to maintain the level of consumer spending. However, it will take some time, before these government actions will have an impact on the economy.

Ukrainian market declines. 69 deals were made on June 22 with the shares of Ukrainian companies for the total volume of UAH 13.0 mn on PFTS SE. There were no more than 6 deals with the shares of the same issuer. At the same time 352 deals were made on Ukrainska SE for the total volume of UAH 6.4 mn. The most liquid stock was Ukrsotsbank (USCB) – 88 deals.
