OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 June 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ imports of soft drinks and mineral water decreased year-on-year in January-April 2009, according to the State Customs Committee.

Imports of soft drinks, including mineral water, still or aerated, with sugar or sweeteners were at 2.042 million decaliters in the period, down 43.8% on the year, worth USD 13.391 million, down 37%.

Belarus imported 1.635 million decaliters of drinks of this type from Russia, down 20.7%, worth USD 10.41 million, a decrease of 13.9%.

Imports from Ukraine were at 380,000 decaliters, down 4 times, worth USD 2.472 million, down 3.4 times.

Imports of water, including natural or artificial mineral water, still or aerated, without sugar or sweeteners were at 189,800 decaliters, up 3.6% on the year in January-April 2009, worth USD 699,300 million, a fall by 6.5%.
