It will display one of the artist’s most famous collections “Sapnai", which is distinguished by bright colours, deep overtones and clear spirits, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Vladas Mackevicius, born in 1981, is one of the most prominent artists of the young generation. In 2005, a personal gallery after the artist’s name was opened in Vilnius. The artist’s works are held by such singers of worldwide recognition as Joe Cocker, Vaya Con Dios, Roisin Murphy, Philip Kirkorov as well as composer Ennio Morricone. In 2007, Vatican, too, was presented with the artist’s work.

“I believe the name of V. Mackevicius will earn yet bigger recognition worldwide. The artist’s works are distinguished by originality having fascinated a number of celebrities. Soon his paintings will appear in collections of famous collectors and therefore we are glad to seize an opportunity to introduce our clients to these works,” Zivile Geralaviciute-Davodov, director of Ukio bankas Private Banking Department said.

The artist’s acquaintance with professional art started from interior design studies but he has always felt a craving for the fine arts. V. Mackevicius became professional painter in 2003 by coordinating this art with interiors he was designing at that time. The artist also shows active interest in frescos and ceramic art.

He has devoted the five recent years to his desire of painting. V. Mackevicius’ works never wait long for their owners. The artist’s original approach has been recognised not only in Lithuania but also in a number of foreign states.

One of his major goals is to transfer the largest possible amount of positive emotions to the world that is full of negativism and envy and to draw attention to real values and humanity. V. Mackevicius creative credo says: “It's better to give something away than to receive all the time”.

Ukio bankas private banking clients and guests will have the chance to admire the artist’s works every business day.
