OREANDA-NEWS. On June 24, 2009 The awarding ceremony for winners and laureates of the International journalistic contest PEGAZ-2008 (Petroleum, Energy, Gas) "The best publication on the problems of the fuel and energy sector of Russia" was held in Moscow. This Contest is supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Federal Energy Agency, Gazprom, OAO TATNEFT and other organizations and companies. This year's contest marks 15 years of the Contest age, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

According to the decision of the Contest's expert commission the press service of OAO TATNEFT was announced a winner in the nomination "Prize for the press service of the fuel and energy entity and its staff". The corporate magazine "Neft i Zhizn (Oil and Life)" was awarded the first prize in the nomination "Prize to the staff of newspapers and magazines", as well as the Grand Prix of the Contest. A special prize in the nomination "Prize to the staff of newspapers and magazines" was awarded to the editorial staff of the "Neftyanye Vesti (Oil News)" newspaper. The team of the "Time of Tatneft" TV studio was awarded a prize as well as a golden medal for a television feature series. A special prize in the nomination "For the best coverage of the fuel and energy business or organization issues" was awarded to Sofya Garifullina, Deputy Manager of the Technical/Economic Information and Dissemination of Advanced Experience Office of OAO TATNEFT.

The aim of the Contest is to attract through the media attention of the general public, political, governmental and business structures to the development issues of the fuel and energy sector of Russia and to consolidate the journalists of the post-Soviet states. As usual, all branches of the fuel and energy sector were presented at this prestigious Contest. Over 350 collective and individual applications from 41 regions of the country and from 6 foreign countries had been submitted to take part in the Contest. Awards were presented to journalists and media teams from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Ukraine and Germany at the anniversary ceremony.
