OREANDA-NEWS. July 03, 2009. NGSK KazStroyService (Almaty), a company listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release, reported the press-centre of KASE:

On July 1, 2009 in Kenkiyak in Aktobe region adjustment works began to launch pipeline Kenkiyak-Kumkol, the second part of oil pipeline Kazakhstan-China. First oil was run by representatives of CUSTOMER Kazakhstansko-Kitayskiy truboprovod LLP, General SUBCONTRACTOR NGSK KazStroyService and OPERATOR for oil delivery of KazTransOil at participation of guests - representatives of official delegation from China.

A General SUBCONTRACTOR of the project for construction of oil pipeline KENKIYAK-KUMKOL, HGSK KazstroyService designed, supplied equipment and constructed 3 sites turnkey:

- pipeline length is 483.2 km, diameter 813 mm;

- with 21 block value stations;

- 3 pig launching and receiving units.

Over 2,500 employees of HGSK KazStroyService and Subcontract organizations worked to launch the project. The company gave over 200 jobs to specialists from Aktobe and Kzylorda oblasts. Local workers had an opportunity to complete special training to operate newest automatic welding equipment, which allowed for receiving an expertise in largest international projects.

Today HGSK KazStroyService is launching the second part of an international branch line. The total length of oil pipeline KENKIYAK-KUMKOL is 793 km, with pipe diameter 813 mm. Capacity at the initial stage is 10 m tonnes oil a year with further increase up to 20 m tonnes oil a year. The resource bases of the project are deposits of Aktobe oblast and Western Kazakhstan.

The full scale construction of the pipeline began in 2008. It was planned to finish the construction in August 2009. However, HGSK KazStroyService completed the works ahead of schedule. A working commission composed of the Customer Kazakhstansko-Kitayskiy truboprovod and other monitoring agencies visited the site on June 23, 2009 and acknowledged the works of the General subcontractor satisfactory.

The project will affect the entire oil and gas sector opening new opportunities to sell Kazakhstan oil. The project will have a significant economical effect - according to the forecast of National Company KazMunaiGas, section KENKIYAK-KUMKOL in the period 2010 through 2020 will bring Kazakhstan KZT bn tax payments.

This is not the first international project of NGSK KazStroyService. In July 2006 the company built and commissioned the first part of oil pipeline Kazakhstan-China, section ATASU-ALASHANKOU. Moreover, NGSK KazStroyService is a General subcontractor of construction of gas pipeline Kazakhstan-China. The company has sufficient resources and expertise to implement entrusted projects.
