OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2009. The famous rating agency, Moody’s Investors Service, has published its next report on the position of AS "PrivatBank". Having examined the current state of affairs at the bank, the agency specialists have retained the current ratings (B2/NP in deposits, E+ in financial strength) unchanged, reported the press-centre of PrivatBank.

Thus, out of the five Latvian banks whose ratings were published by Moody’s Investors Service, AS "PrivatBank" turned out to be the only bank whose rating was not lowered.

The current rating indicators situation at AS "PrivatBank" does not differ significantly from the situation at the end of the last year: then, against the background of rapidly falling bank ratings not only in the Eastern Europe but also all over the world, Moody’s Investors Service agency also retained AS "PrivatBank" rating without changes. It is a great proof for the stability and safety of the bank, which is especially important in the current difficult economic situation

Among AS "PrivatBank's" strengths, Moody’s Investors Service specialists mentioned the bank's risks and income sources diversification, the effective solution of the problem loans issue, and its focus on private customers in their report. The hypothetical possibility of support of AS "PrivatBank" on the part of its parent bank, PrivatBank, which is the largest Ukrainian bank, was also favourably viewed by the agency analysts.
