OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 July 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ OAO Krinitsa, the largest brewery of the country, produced 5.869 million decaliters of beer in January-May 2009, up 5.2% from the January-May level, a representative in food concern Belgospischeprom told.

OAO Krinitsa produced 1.411 million decaliters of beer in May, down 3.6% on the year.

Beer output in plastic bottles went up 5.3% on the year to 4.772 million decaliters.

Krinitsa beer output in glass bottles fell 9.2% to 702,000 decaliters, in kegs went up 20.7% to 222,000 decaliters and in cans doubled to 173,000 decaliters.

Sales totaled 5.079 million decaliters of beer in January-May, unchanged year-on-year. In Minsk, Krinitsa sold 1.382 decaliters of beer, down 26.3%.

Krinitsa was founded in January 2001. OAO Polotsk Beer and Nesvizh soft drinks plant have been incorporated by OAO Krinitsa and operate as subsidiaries.

Krinitsa accounted for 43.5% of Belarus’ overall beer production in January-May 2009, up 5.8 percentage points.
