OREANDA-NEWS. On 09 July 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ OAO Belsolod, the country’s only producer of malt, reported an 6.8% increase in output in January-May 2009 over the same period of 2008 to 37,008 tonnes, a source in the company told.

Exports fell 87.7% to USD 1.991 million.

Belsolod registered profitability rate of 21.6% in the period. In January-May, the company disbursed 36.7 billion Belarusian rubles’ in investments.

The company plans a 20% fall in output this year because of the planned upgrade.

Belsolod was established in 1989 and transformed into a joint stock company in 1996.
