OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2009. The agreement stipulates cooperation in the field of training of specialists meeting the needs and the requirements of Atomenergoprom OJSC as well as implementation of joint research projects, coordination of joint professional orientation activities, assistance of MEPhI graduates in finding jobs and stimulation of the research activities of young scientists.

Atomenergoprom will mediate in establishment of contacts and conclusion of agreements between MEPhI and its subsidiaries in the fields of education, science and personnel training and to set requirements to the competences of MEPhI graduates and to make recommendations on the institute’s curricula. The parties will also organize onsite training for MEPhI students at Atomenergorom’s subsidiaries and will coordinate the subjects of their graduation projects.

“The nuclear industry of Russia is a science-intensive high-tech sector and it needs highly qualified specialists. This agreement is one more step to create on the basis of MEPhI a “forgery of talents” for the Russian nuclear industry,” says Deputy Director of Atomenergorpom OJSC Jumberi Tkebuchava. 

Reactor of MEPhI Mikhail Strikhanov believes that this agreement will allow MEPhI to more effectively cooperate with Atomenergorpom’s companies and to offer its graduates interesting and prestigious jobs.
