OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2009. Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation and Atom Innovation Center are organizing Fair of Innovative Projects “Atomeco 2009.” The event will take place in Moscow (Info-Space Business Center, ј Zachatyevsky Lane) on Oct 29–30 2009.

The key goals of the fair is selecting and promoting the most promising projects in the field of transportation of radioactive waste, transportation of radioactive materials, decommissioning of nuclear facilities and ecological recovery of hazardous facilities, processing of industrial and domestic waste, organization and conduct of radiation and ecological monitoring.

The topics of the fair are as follows:

— methods to enhance power efficiency in commercial power engineering and utilities
— power and resource saving
— technologies and equipment for processing of industrial and domestic waste
— treatment of radioactive waste produced by nuclear power plants
— decommissioning of nuclear facilities, ecological recovery and decontamination of soil, processing of uranium waste
— treatment of trans-uranium waste, temporary storage and subsurface burial of radioactive waste
— treatment of spent nuclear fuel
— containers and transport logistics
— technologies and equipment for processing of industrial and domestic waste, particularly, at Rosatom companies
— ecological monitoring
— physical protection and fire and information security
