OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 July 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ privately-owned OOO Tabak-Invest, based in Minsk, produced 3.199 billion cigarettes in January-June 2009, down 11.1% on the year, an official with Belgospischeprom concern told.

In June, cigarette output reached 560 million units.

Tabak-Invest makes Magna, Monte Carlo, More, Winston and Camel brands under contracts with JT International (JTI) and West and Golden Gate brands under a license agreement with Reemtsma.

Production under contracts with JTI accounted for 93.4% of Tabak-Invest’s output, with 2.988 billion units. Imperial Tobacco Group (Reemtsma) brands accounts for the remaining 5.6%.

Winston output amounted to 1.664 billion cigarettes, including 1.33 billion units of Winston Light. Winston production makes up 52% of the total output.

Monte Carlo output reached 910 million units, including 611 million units of Monte Carlo Light; Camel output amounted to 295 million units, Magna production to 51 million units and More production to 60 million units.

Tabak-Invest has an output quota of 6.5 billion cigarettes in 2009, down 3.7% year-on-year.
