OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 July 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ imports of soft drinks and mineral water decreased year-on-year in January-May 2009, according to the State Customs Committee.

Imports of soft drinks, including mineral water, still or aerated, with sugar or sweeteners were at 2.463 million decaliters in the period, down 48% on the year, worth USD 17.59 million, down 357%.

Belarus imported 1.921 million decaliters of drinks of this type from Russia, down 31.7%, worth USD 13.754 million, a decrease of 14.5%.

Imports from Ukraine were at 511,000 decaliters, down 3.6 times, worth USD 3.227 million, down 3.1 times.

Imports of water, including natural or artificial mineral water, still or aerated, without sugar or sweeteners were at 248,800 decaliters, down 9.4% on the year in January-May 2009, worth USD 924,400 million, down by USD 2,400 year-on-year.
