OREANDA-NEWS. July 13, 2009. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko urges the Regions Party to cease blocking of work of the Verkhovna Rada and hold on Tuesday a plenary sitting dedicated exceptionally to considering of crucial for the country anti-crisis draft laws that regulate issues of recapitalization of banks and successful holding of Euro-2012 in Ukraine.

The first bail-out draft law on recapitalization will contribute to further stabilization of banking system and, what is most important, will thoroughly protect deposits of citizens while for those who have problems with them will give chance to return their money.

The second bail-out draft law dedicated to Euro-2012 will not only financially ensure holding of European Football Championship in Ukraine but will have a colossal anti-crisis effect as it envisages significant investments into infrastructure objects.

In addition, Yulia Tymoshenko suggests to immediately approve in the second reading the Law on elections of president as Ukraine has to enter the election campaign with a legislative base, which shall make falsifications impossible, guarantee honesty and transparency of election of new head of state.

Yulia Tymoshenko calls on the Regions Party to demonstrate just minimal political responsibility and ensure approval of the most significant anti-crisis laws, putting aside all confrontation issues.

In her turn, the Prime Minister is ready not to insist on considering cadre issues and put them aside till autumn so that to decrease temperature in the session hall.

“The Government is trying to counteract the challenges of the global economic crisis on its own, has fulfilled with responsibility its duties and continues to make all the best to protect Ukraine from the blows of the crunch. While implementing our work we have a right to rely on support of the Verkhovna Rada and represented in it political forces. We urge the Regions Party not to deepen into their political fight but to see the country which needs being protected and necessitates approval of the anti-crisis laws,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
