OREANDA-NEWS. On 15 July 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh IJSC, one of the founders of the Russian Antiterrorist Insurance Pool, decided to withdraw from this organization. The RATIP was established in 2001 for the purpose of obligatory reinsurance of risks of damage or loss of property caused by terrorist attacks.

The decision to exit the RATIP was due to a number of outstanding issues related to the functioning of the Pool.

Ingosstrakh IJSC provided reinsurance for its own risk portfolio when it entered the obligatory reinsurance contract in the international market.  In terms of capacity and reliability of participants, it exceeds the parameters of the RATIP.

Having withdrawn from the RATIP, Ingosstrakh guarantees that it will fulfill its previous obligations and confirms its commitment to take risks from other participants of the pool under optional reinsurance contracts.
