OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 July 2009 was announced, that new medical facilities are under construction in Moscow despite the financial crisis, Andrey Seltsovsky, head of the city’s health department said.

“The crisis has affected the activities of the department but we must keep the network [of medical facilities] in operation. Funds for this purpose have been allocated,” the official emphasized.

According to Mr Seltsovsky, new hospitals and medical centres will be opened in Moscow even during the crisis.

“We plan to have maternity hospital No 15 commissioned by this autumn. A rehabilitation centre for people suffering back pain is scheduled to be opened on Lodochnaya Street in 2 or 3 months,” the head of Moscow’s health department added.
