OREANDA-NEWS. On July 13, 2009 the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against "UGMK-Holding" Ltd. for the elements of violating Clauses 6 and 8 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position), reported the press-centre of FAS.

FAS Russia suspects that "UGMK-Holding" Ltd. violated the antimonopoly legislation when the company included economically, technologically and otherwise unjustified fixed mark-ups in the contracts for supplying zinc to Russian consumers, as well as created discriminatory conditions for supplying zinc to some consumers.

FAS Russia will forward a copy of the order and the determination on initiating the antimonopoly case to the company within the statutory period.

The hearing is scheduled for 26th August 2009.
