OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 July 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) grew 0.3% on the year in January-June 2009 to 60.6 trillion Belarusian Rubles (Br), an official with Belarus’ Statistics Ministry told.
Industrial output in January-June decreased 3.6% on the year to 58.9 trillion Rubles.
Farm output as of July 1, 2009 stood at 8.4 trillion Rubles, up 6.6% on the year in the period.
In 2008, Belarus’ GDP grew 10% on the year to 128.8 trillion Belarusian Rubles. Industrial output amounted to 127.5 trillion Rubles, up 10.8% on the year. Farm output increased 8.9% to 26.9 trillion Rubles.
