OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2009. In view of the public attention to the land relations in Sochi and the importance of those relations due to organisation of the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) on its own initiative inspected the participants of the market of the land use-and-planning and cadastral works in order to reveal possible collusions (competition-restricted agreements and concerted actions) and other antimonopoly violations, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The main areas of inspection: agreements and concerted actions between market participants or between economic entities and the authorities aimed at increasing (maintaining) the same level of prices for land use-and-planning and cadastral works; market division under a geographical principle, or a buyer category; and market entry restrictions.

The inspection has not revealed any violations of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

Information about the inspection findings was forwarded to Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
