OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2009. Ukreximbank announced that Dr. Dongsoo Kim, Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) and Mr. Mykola M. Udovychenko, Member of the Board – Deputy Chairman of the Board of Joint Stock Company the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine (Ukreximbank) have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to intensify the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions and to facilitate further economic relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea, reported the press-centre of Ukreximbank.

The MOU Signing Ceremony, which took place in Seoul in the office of the Prime Minster of the Republic of Korea, was held in the course of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko to the Republic of Korea.

By signing the MOU the Parties have agreed to intensify their cooperation in bilaterally beneficial areas, including financing of energy efficiency projects, trade facilitation programs, infrastructure projects including those related to EURO-2012 Plan in Ukraine, “green” financing, supporting and encouraging added-value investments and other spheres of mutual interest.

Ukreximbank and KEXIM cooperation has been effectively developing since Y2006, when the parties signed Comprehensive Interbank Export Credit Agreement to finance import of Korean goods to Ukraine, followed by Master Interbank Export Credit Agreement.
