OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2009. The Belarusian Government has recently amended the list of state-owned enterprises subject to privatisation in 2008–2010. Two first-rate Belarusian banks – Belinvestbank and Belpromstroybank (BPS Bank) - were added to the list. The government plans to sell its shares in the two banks before the end of 2010, reported the press-centre of Sorainen.

Several other companies were added to the list, such as Minsk Industrial and Trading Complex “Veras” (textile production) and Grodnooblavtotrans (passenger operations). Some enterprises, including Gomselmash (the leading producer of agricultural machinery), Gomel Plant of Casts and Normal Lines, and Svetlogorsk Agricultural Equipment Plant, were removed from the list.
 
The estimated terms of privatisation were also changed from the year 2009 to 2010 for a number of companies.
