OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 July 2009 was announced, that a carload of beer brewed on the facilities of Baltika-Baku Brewery, the first foreign production area of Baltika Breweries, was exported.

A batch of beer Baltika No.3 Classic, Baltika No.9 Extra in bottles and aluminum cans 0.5 l and Arsenalnoye Traditional in plastic packs 1.5 l. was dispatched from Azerbaijan to Georgia. Delivery of beer by railroad to Georgia takes up to five days on the average. The size of the first export batch is 45,000 l. In August it is planned to broad the line-up of the sorts delivered to Georgia due to Baltika Cooler, Baltika No.5 Gold, Baltika No.7 Export, and Arsenalnoye Traditional in PET packages 2.5 l.

Adam Tlekhurai, General Manager of Baltika-Baku: "Now the Baltika beer will become more available to Georgian beer lovers, most of all in price. Transport costs in organizing export deliveries of beer to Georgia from the Baltika brewery in Azerbaijan, compared with deliveries from Russia, are considerably lower. Besides, the delivery periods are also noticeably shorter."

The own production in Azerbaijan allows Baltika Breweries to strengthen the positions in the Trans-Caucasian region, also due to new export routes. The Baltika-Baku brewery complies with the standards and manufacturing requirements obligatory for all Baltika’s breweries. The modernization completed in May 2009 has allowed not only to noticeable increase the quality of the brands traditionally produced by the Azerbaijan brewery, but also to commence with production of the famous Baltika beer.
