OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2009. OJSC Transsiberian Reinsurance Corporation has concluded excess of loss obligatory inward reinsurance treaty with Venezuelan Insurance Company – Coprevin de Venezuela, R.L., through the international reinsurance broker from Malaysia.

The reinsured is a cooperative company, which has been working at Venezuelan market since 2005. At the present time Coprevin de Venezuela has seven branches at the country’s largest cities, except the capital. Venezuelan insurer specializes in surface transport insurance.

Though Coprevin de Venezuela was the first insurance company from this country, Transsiberian Re has been working for a long time with insurers from Latin America. At the present time Transsiberian Re has treaties with cedents from Argentine, Chile and Ecuador, as well as from several Caribbean companies. Risks from these companies are accepted by European Bureau (Moscow) and International Bureau (Prague). All the contracts are concluded through reinsurance brokers.
