OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2009. The youths, representing Ivanovo Power Engineering University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg polytechnic and technologies universities, Nizhniy Novgorod Technical University and other prestigious higher schools, are familiarizing themselves with nuclear energy production and are trying themselves as nuclear workers.

Their goal is to get practical skills and to use the experience acquired on site under their graduation projects. This is also a way for them to show their talents to their potential employers.

“Our older friends told us lots of good things about onsite training at Kola NPP. Many of them are already employees of the plant and this is a good example for us,” says student of Tomsk Polytechnic University Roman Vlasov. His peer Mikhail Pigolkin from Ivanovo Power Engineering University adds: “We are glad that they regard us not as inexperienced students but as future specialists.”

The students are unanimous that onsite training at Kola NPP is an experience that will help them to attain their key goal – to successfully graduate their universities.
