OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2009. Engineers of MELCO (Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, a subdivision of turbine manufacturer Mitsubishi, designing electric generators) and E4-SibCOTES (E4 Group business unit) have held the meeting scheduled for the project of Krasnodarskaya CHP plant expansion with GTCC-410 installation (TGK-8, South Department subsidiary).

The project calls for installation of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gas turbine М 701F4, with its 303.9MW power output. The issues under discussion are turbine generator design, auxiliary equipment arrangement and electrical diagrams, equipment availability under different loading modes, scope of supply.

For this project, LUKOil Group is an EPC contractor, and Е4-SibCOTES is a General Designer. The current status of the project development is complete and sent for the State expert review. Detail design documentation concerning GTCC preparatory period of construction has been accomplished; the project is moving to the full execution phase.   Among other things, documentation for the administration and on-site facilities building was done, while the part for the main building and oil storage and processing area is being processed. The company’s scope of work includes GTCC automation: design, equipment delivery and commissioning.
Combined-cycle plant construction project was launched in 2008, in the spring. World leading manufacturers will equip the plant: a gas turbine generator is produced by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, a 140 MW steam cogeneration turbine by Ural Turbine Works, a steam turbine generator with air cooling - ELSIB, a heat recovery steam generator - EMAlliance.

The project of GTCC-410 construction at the Krasnodarskaya CHP plant was urged by economic growth of the region, resort industry development, and the forthcoming Olympic Games-2014 as well. Installed state-of-the-art equipment will cover the growing demand in electricity and heat supply in Krasnodar region, reduce emissions, and air pollution.
