OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 July 2009 was announced, that Belarusian banks will provide 2.34 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br)’ worth of loans for procurement of crop products in 2009, under presidential ordinance #386, the press service of the president reported.

The five banks that are supposed to extend loans – Belagroprombank, Belarusbank, Belinvestbank, BPS-bank and Belvnesheconombank – will have interests on their loans partially repaid from the state budget.

The loans are provided for up to 12 months against the guarantee of the government and local administrations.

Of the total sum, 2.316 trillion rubles will be spent on purchases of grain, rotted straw, flax-fiber, linseed, rapeseed, sugar beet, malt barley, protein raw material, mixed fodder, legumes and cereal crops, offal, provit, corn, sunflower seed, blackstrap, phosphates, premixes, etc.

Loans are extended in Belarusian rubles and foreign exchange in the period July 2009 through August 2010.

State-guaranteed order of milling grain amounts to 1.025 million tonnes, of rapeseed 332,000 tonnes, of sugar beet 3.6 million tonnes, of malt barley 150,000 tonnes, of grain for alcohol production 186,000 tonnes, and of flax fiber 35,000 tonnes.

Some 114.4 billion rubles will be spent on procurement of potatoes, fruit and berries, vegetables, berries and mushrooms, and processing materials, containers, and transport expenses.

Cash will be used to procure produce from individuals.
