OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 July 2009 was announced, that a new fueling complex Gazpromneft-Aero Tomsk was set up in the Tomsk Airport. Gazpromneft-Aero Tomsk is a joint venture established by ZAO Gazpromneft-Aero and OOO Airport Tomsk and integrated into the NOVAPORT network project. Investments steered into development of an alternative fueling facility in the Tomsk airport total to RUR 111 mln.

Gazpromneft-Aero Tomsk schemes cooperation with such major Russian air carriers as S7, Transaero, UTair and Gazpromavia. Equipment utilized at Gazpromneft-Aero fueling complex at the Tomsk airport complies completely with Russian and international standards accepted in the sphere of jet fueling.

In view of providing aircrafts with jet fuel, there was a fuel supply depot with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters built in the Tomsk airport. Gazpromneft-Aero Tomsk fueling facility will be mainly supplied with jet fuel from the Omsk Refinery.

“Establishing of a fueling complex in Tomsk representing one of the most up-to-date fueling facilities in Russia is yet another step forward in terms of ZAO Gazpromneft-Aero’s growth policy, which will allow the Company increase the jet fuel retail share at the Russian domestic market, - ZAO Gazpromneft-Aero General Director Vladimir Egorov stated. – In this regard, setting up of an alternative fueling facility corresponds in full with the state strategy on demonopolization of the jet fuel domestic market”.

As the General Director of NOVAPORT Aleksey Vasilchenko pointed out, “Setting up of a new fueling facility represents the first stage of complex modernization of the Tomsk airport performed with the support of the Tomsk Region Authorities”.

In turn, the General Director of OOO Airport Tomsk Evgeniy Yankelevich noted: “The appearance of a new fueling complex at the Tomsk airport will contribute to creating of faithful competition in jet fuel segment, which will allow bringing the saleable jet fuel prices down and involving new air carriers into cooperation”.
