OREANDA-NEWS. August 07, 2009. When one takes a newspaper, magazine or a book he pays attention, first of all, to the quality of their performance. The acute colours of illustrations and photographs in any printed product are ensured by the state-of-the-art high-tech equipment. Such equipment is supplied to Turkmen printing industry workers under the support President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who set the task to bring printing production in Turkmenistan in compliance with international standards, reported the Official website turkmenistan.gov.tm.

Recently the Printing Centre of the State Publication Service received the Suprasetter 105 computer-to-plate (CtP) system produced by the German company Heidelberg – the one of the leading printing equipment manufacturers in the world. This unique equipment allowed ensuring the high quality of the printed products – newspapers, magazines, textbooks and encyclopedic publications.

Today the Printing Centre published 21,000 copies of the magazines, 18,000 copies of the textbooks in hard cover and 260,000 copies of the newspapers. The steady increase in output conditioned the need to improve the quality and reduce interoperability costs.

The Suprasetter-105 allows eliminating intermediate electronic edits, computerizing all processes and significantly reduce the time of preparation of strips for printing. The computer produces the printing plate of a magazine, newspaper or a book that is already imposed, folded and matched in colours. This provides the high acutance of photographs and illustrations.

Under the support of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the material and technical basis of printing industry in the country is steadily replenished with state-of-the-art equipment produced by the world’s leading manufacturers. In recent years the offset perfectors and other printing equipment produced by the German companies – the world’s leaders in the field were purchased to meet the needs of the Printing Centre. Thus, by actively applying latest technology and best international practice in industry Turkmen specialists raise their professional skills that directly affect the quality of printed products.
