OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2009. The Gov’t backs production of modern agricultural equipment and is to encourage agrarians to use it. The Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced in the course of visit of agrarian enterprise Rise-Maxymko in Lokhvytsky area of Poltava region.

In particular, Yulia Tymoshenko stressed the Gov’t is handling improvement of program of purchase of up-to-date agricultural equipment, with UAH 700 million envisaged in the State Budget of the current year for these purposes.

 “This year we have come to a decision to change approaches to such state order and not to buy ineffective equipment but instead to encourage the national enterprises to produce equipment that gives higher effect and to accustom agrarians to use that,” the Premier underlined.

Yulia Tymoshenko urged heads of enterprises that had already mastered advanced technologies of cultivation of lands and crops to assist the Government to adjust the approaches to such state order: “in order not to waste money”.
