OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2009. A large batch of Belarusian tractors replenished the fleet of the agricultural sector of Turkmenistan. Over 200 tractors purchased from the Minsk tractor plant according to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan on June 18, 2009 were supplied to Turkmenobahyzmat Association. The new machines became a wonderful present for farmers for the national holiday – Turkmen Melon Day. Another batch of agricultural machines will be delivered within the next few weeks, reported the Official website turkmenistan.gov.tm.

Technology modernization and enhancement of the material and technical basis of the agro-industry sector are the key priorities if the large-scale agricultural reform launched in the country. As is know, according to the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Turkmenobahyzmat Association concluded the contract for the purchase of 1,000 Belarus-80X and Belarus-82.1 tractor-cultivators and spare parts with the Republican Unitary Enterprise Minskiy traktorny zavod. The choice of these tractors is conditioned by its operational reliability, cost-effectiveness and high capacity.

Agricultural machines produced by Minskiy traktorny zavod have proved their reliability in the soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan. Belarus-80 tractors are used to cultivate cotton. Belarus-82.1 wheel tractor-cultivators are designed to perform a wide spectrum of agricultural activities – from preparing the soil for sowing crops to picking and transportation. Adapted to different climatic zones these tractors can also be used by forestry and municipal services, for construction and industrial purposes. The tractors purchased from Minskiy traktorny zavod are to be delivered during this year.

The first batch of tractors was distributed among the regions. The Belarusian agricultural machines will be engaged in seasonal land treatment operations on cotton and wheat plantations.
