OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 August 2009 was announced, that the Leninsky court of Orenburg delivered a sentence to the former clients of Ingosstrakh IJSC Chebotarev G.P. and Dugaev O.A. who attempted to receive a compensation for  the staged traffic accident. The court applied article 30 part 3; article 159 part 2 of the criminal code of Russia - attempted fraud, i.e. theft  of property or acquiring a right to property by means of fraud or abuse of  confidence committed by a group of  persons by previous concert and not accomplished for reasons beyond their control.

On November 27, 2008, Dugaev O.A. filed a claim to Ingosstrakh IJSC for insurance compensation because of a traffic accident with his VAZ-21150 and the car of the same brand that belonged to Chebotarev O.A. insured by Ingosstrakh under compulsory motor TPL  and motor hull  insurance. However, during verification, it was found out that on November 23, 2008, Dugaev O.A. was speeding, he lost control on a slippery road  and went into the pillar of a heat pipeline.  His car was seriously damaged and needed expensive repairs, therefore he called his acquaintance O.A.Chebotarev and offered to stage an accident  in order to get an insurance compensation from Ingosstrakh IJSC.  According to their preliminary arrangement, Chebotarev (insured under compulsory motor TPL insurance and motor hull insurance) was a guilty party. After this, Dugaev applied to Ingosstrakh IJSC for insurance compensation to the amount of RUB 53 546. Chebotarev, whose car also showed signs of mechanic damage, was going to apply to the insurance company for RUB 4 500.

After investigation carried out by the experts of the Information Analysis and Protection Department of Ingosstrakh IJSC, the evidence was presented to the claimants that contested their version. After this, the clients who attempted to get insurance compensations by fraud, confessed and told what had really happened. Besides, Dugaev filed a renunciation of insurance compensation.

The court  found Dugaev and Chebotarev guilty and sentenced them to public works of 200 hours each.
