OREANDA-NEWS. On August 11, 2009 The Moscow government has priced RUB 4.5 bn into the municipal budget to buy Sibir Energy shares, reported the press-centre of FINAM.

In 2010, municipal authorities plan to increase the charter capital of Central Fuel Company by RUB 4.5 bn. There is a respective line item in the draft 2010 city budget posted on the Moscow government’s website. The company will spend the money to “consolidate the assets of fuel and energy enterprises”, the document says.

It will be allocated to raise the stake in Sibir Energy to a blocking interest, a source close to the administration said. The company currently controls a 19.3% stake in Sibir Energy. Earlier, Deputy Moscow Mayor Vladimir Silkin said that the Moscow authorities intend to boost their stake in the company to 25%+1 share.

According to sources close to Gazprom and the local administration, Gazprom Neft will sell the shares.
