OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2009. Value added tax is being reimbursed through the Agrarian Fund to all the exporters of agricultural production on a timely basis and in full amount. The Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced during a meeting dedicated to the issues of development of grain market and its infrastructure in Poltava region.

She noted the amount of reimbursed VAT the incumbent Government had conducted was at least twice bigger that the previous Government’s. “I will take it under my personal control and VAT will be returned through the Agrarian Fund not selectively but in full,” Yulia Tymoshenko promised.

The Premier commissioned the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Economics to elaborate an order of returning VAT to exporters under condition they produce a reference on purchase of production from agricultural producers at prices not less than a purchasing price. At this, Yulia Tymoshenko noted in parallel with elaboration of such resolution amendments to the law should be elaborated: “We should make it a rule, otherwise the purchasing price will not have any meaning”.

The Premier has also given a commission to the State Tax Administration and the Finance Ministry to ensure returning of VAT to the exporters according to the schedule and without any delays.

Moreover, the Head of Government empowered the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Ministry of Finance to ready changes to the law in the part of reimbursement of VAT to those enterprises that deal with building objects of social-cultural sphere in rural areas.
