OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2009. PrivatBank, the leader of Ukrainian banking services market, changed its name from Closed Joint-Stock Company to Public Joint-Stock Company. On the 17th of July 2009 the bank completed state registration of changes in the bank’s statute, adjusted in accordance with the new law of Ukraine “About Joint-Stock Companies”, reported the press-centre of PrivatBank.
 
According to the changes in the bank’s statute, the full name of the bank:
in Ukranian: Публiчне акцiонерне товариство комерцiйний банк “ПриватБанк”

in Russian: Публичное акционерное общество коммерческий банк “ПриватБанк”;

in English: Public Joint-Stock Company PrivatBank.
 
The bank’s name abbreviation is:

in Ukrainian: ПАТ КБ “ПриватБанк”;

in Russian: ПАО КБ “ПриватБанк”;

in English: PJSC CB “PrivatBank”.
 
The commercial (brand) name of the bank is PrivatBank.
 
The appropriate changes have been made in the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine, other requisites of the bank have remained without changes. The decision about the change of the bank’s name was taken during PrivatBank shareholders' meeting on 30th of April 2009.
