OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2009. The Anti-Crisis Program of the Government directed to support of the building branch solves a series of problem issues of the branch, in particular it ensures favourable investment climate and develops house-building. First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Building Anatolii Berkuta announced during a press conference at the House of Government.

Anatolii Berkuta stressed pursuant to the bail-out program of the Government for support of house-building in the current year citizens who have been on queues for flats for a long time will receive accommodation. “We have a chance to obtain 66 buildings, 2293 flats, total area of 154.2 thousand square meters and investment in 601 million 460 thousand,” he stated.

According to him, owing to realization of the Anti-Crisis Program of the Government on purchase of accommodation for the privileged categories in the unfinished objects the building branch will gain UAH 601 million. “Nowadays we can return to the builders UAH 601 million in accordance with the approved decisions, 20% out of the sum will be directed to completion of construction works and finishing works. Almost UAH 500 million will remain and will go to circulating funds of these organizations,” Anatolii Berkuta stressed. At this, he emphasized that finishing works in the flats are made exceptionally on the basis of national building materials and in such a way we can support Ukrainian producers.

Besides, according to the First Deputy Minister of Regional Development the Program of Government, purchase of flats in the unfinished houses gives guarantees to the citizens who invested funds into building to receive their flats in buildings that under conditions of the global financial-economic downturn were frozen. 

Anatolii Berkuta also emphasized that on the basis of statistic data the building branch demonstrate growth on the level of 0.5-1% month-over-month from February of the current year. According to him, over last seven months of current year building and assembly works have been fulfilled to the tune of UAH 18.2 billion.
