OREANDA-NEWS. August 14, 2009. The European Commission will provide a 45 million euros grant to implement the Program of supporting reform in the country’s water-supply sector.  As it was informed at the Moldovan Government’s press service that it was stipulated by the agreement signed on August 13th between the Government of Moldova and the European Commission.

37 million euros of the total amount of the grant will be allocated as a direct support to the state budget, 6 million euros – for implementation of the pilot project in the Nisporeni region and 3 million euros will be provided as technical assistance. 37 million euros will be allocated to the budget by three installments: 15 million, 11 million and 11 million euros.

The second and third tranches will be provided depending on the Program realization degree. The program of supporting the reform in the country’s water-supply sector is meant for 60 months.
